Mediation
Mediation is a process whereby parties make use of a neutral third party to reach creative solutions to issues pending between them. Parties who resolve their cases in mediation are able to save money and resolve the matter in a manner that is uniquely suited to their circumstances. Mediation is used to settle divorce cases but can also be used to assist in resolving post-divorce issues such as modifications and contempt. Mediation is a voluntary process and is only binding if the parties reach an agreement. Rebecca is a trained mediator who works with unrepresented parties as well as those represented by counsel.
Arbitration
Georgia law provides that all domestic relations issues may be resolved by arbitration. The arbitrator is an independent, neutral third party who is not judge but who, if the parties agree, is empowered to make binding decisions for the parties.
Rebecca is a trained arbitrator and can work with clients to arbitrate domestic relations cases.
